I LOVE celebrating and finding reasons to celebrate! I also love to decorate our home for holidays and celebrations. For me, it’s something that I truly enjoy. All of the small details and making things feel extra special really is something that makes me happy.
Making special holiday meals seems to be one of our most popular traditions (my family likes to eat!). For Valentine’s Day I typically set the table and serve a fun breakfast. It’s always something easy like heart shaped cinnamon rolls with pink icing (the canned ones, don’t be impressed 😂) and strawberry milk. I also leave a few small treats for our girls next to their place settings.

My husband and I will usually try to make time to go out sometime the week of Valentine’s, just the two of us for dinner too. I know a lot of people say that Valentine’s Day is just a commercialized holiday but I can’t seem to find the harm in a day that reminds us to love others and celebrate the people in our lives. It may be your spouse, children, grandchildren, or friends but I hope you’ll take time to spread a little love this week (and every other week too).
